The Prime Minister’s wife opted for a smart blue trouser suit which echoed former Conservative women prime ministers Margaret Thatcher and Theresa May. Carrie, 33, showed off her style prowess in the Tory-blue, slim-fitting £595 jacket and £395 flared trousers, both by Amanda Wakeley. She topped her chic look with a sophisticated up-do hair style.

The mother-of-one also sported a crisp white shirt and black pointed-toe Jimmy Choo heels.

The Prime Minister’s new wife has been one of the stars of the conference, wowing the guests in her first official appearance as the hostess for a major international event.

The trip with the US president’s wife Jill Biden and other spouses was to the iconic Minack Theatre in Cornwall, which is built into the side of a cliff overlooking the sea.

But instead of a “cliffhanger” the party was treated to a performance by around 50 young singers and dancers from local schools who performed Ocean World, which focuses on the importance of nature and the oceans.

The performance dovetailed into the main theme of the conference which has focused on helping the world build back better and greener, with a bid by the biggest nations to invest in environmental projects.

Protecting nature is a personal passion of Carrie, who is also director of communications for the Aspinall Foundation conservation charity.

Carrie and Boris tied the knot two weeks ago in a low-key wedding ceremony at Westminster Cathedral.

They then had a small reception at Downing Street.

The couple’s son, baby Wilfred, was born in April 2020.
