The sudden and unexpected death of a dad-of-three who was “as fit as a fiddle” has left a family devastated.
Chris Mccormick, aged 52, tragically passed away from a sudden heart attack on November 29.
The electrician was a popular figure in the community and leaves behind his much-loved wife, Linda, and their kids Dan, 31, Kie, 27, and Katie, 17.
As a keen football fan, Chris made lots of pals through an online football banter group, reports the Daily Record.
One of his mates from the group, Micheal Halsall, has set up a fundraiser in his memory.
He described him as a “true friend” and “fantastic father and husband”.
"We are all totally devastated and our daily lives won't be the same without him without his clever and funny posts.
“But also on a personal level, he was always behind the scenes as a true friend for so many,” he added.
Chris was a huge Liverpool FC fan and was an admin of the 'Blues vs Reds Banter group' for a short time, earning himself a reputation as one of the group’s "most revered and respected members".
The page has since been renamed 'Blues vs Chris' Mighty Reds Banter Group' in his honour.
Michael carried on: "He was a passionate Liverpool supporter, he loved the unique relationship with Evertionians so was well known by reds and blues on banter pages.
"He never got upset or carried away. He was hilarious and witty and always knew exactly what to say so you were totally out of retorts.

"But in the five or so years I'd known him on there I never heard anyone who said they didn't like him. He was just a top fella.
"And the more I get to know his family now the more I am seeing he was a fantastic father and husband as well."
The GoFundMe page to raise money for Chris’ family has almost hit £1,000 already.
