Richard Gere Quietly Snagged This Picturesque 32-Acre Connecticut Mansion for Less Than $11 Million — See the Photos!

Richard Gere truly has a knack for buying picturesque homes that look like they came straight out of a scenic fairytale. He always seems to snag homes at a great price, and his newest purchase is no different. Earlier this year, the Pretty Woman star quietly bought a sprawling New Canaan, Conn. home from musician Paul Simon.

Designed by famous architect Harold Reeve Sleeper, the 1938 sprawling home has over 30 acres of land, and the home itself boats nearly 9,000 square feet. With six bedrooms, eight full bathrooms, and three half-bathrooms, Gere’s big family won’t have any issue making little nooks for themselves. (We call the cottage guesthouse that Simon used as a recording studio!)

Not only are we loving how huge the home is, but we’re sure the huge, wooden-finished eat-in kitchen played a huge role in the buying decision. Along with the kitchen, we can’t even imagine how fun it will be to hang out outside with the lush gardens, huge pool, and idyllic courtyard.

While the home is mostly finished, we’re sure Gere will add his own personal touch to the home! Don’t miss any of the photos of this gorgeous home, and be sure to check out more images of this sprawling mansion at Dirt.
