The Duke of Cambridge and Duke of Sussex have suffered a reported rift due to Megxit. Harry announced on July 19 he would be publishing a book about the “highs and lows” of his life as a royal. But a royal expert has suggested the Duke of Sussex’s book will have serious implications for his brother.

Ingrid Seward, a royal expert, suggested that if Harry’s book says “inappropriate” things about the monarchy, it could affect William’s future as King.

She told GB News: “William is probably the one that will come out of this worst of all because there is a row between William and Harry and basically if Harry says things that are inappropriate about the monarchy, that is William’s future.

“It’s not Harry’s future, he is out of it now, but it is William’s future.’”

Duncan Larcombe, author of ‘Prince Harry: The Inside Story’, also warned there will be “no chance” of a reconciliation between the brothers if the book divulges more negative information about the royals.

The royal expert told Closer magazine in May that if in-depth details of any personal conversations between Harry and his family after Prince Philip’s funeral emerged, “that really will be the final straw”.

He added: “That’ll be it – there will be no chance of a reconciliation ever and all trust will be broken.”

“How could anyone from the Royal Family trust them again if the intimate details of conversations were leaked.

“Why would they want anything more to do with them?

“Those chapters will be extremely telling as to the state of the royal rift as it stands now, and to where it’ll head in the future.”

Harry announced he is working on a ‘wholly truthful” memoir about his life as a royal.

He said in a statement: “I’m writing this not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become.

‘I’ve worn many hats over the years, both literally and figuratively, and my hope is that in telling my story — the highs and lows, the mistakes, the lessons learned — I can help show that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we think.

“I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to share what I’ve learned over the course of my life so far and excited for people to read a firsthand account of my life that’s accurate and wholly truthful.”

It comes after a source told Us Weekly at the time that members of the Royal Family were “shaken” by the news of Harry’s upcoming memoir.

The Duke of Cambridge also revealed he’s co-authoring a book in honour of the Royal Foundation’s Earthshot Prize, an annual award that recognises solutions to climate change and environmental issues.

The book, titled ‘Earthshot: How to Save Our Planet’, is expected to be on shelves before the Earthshot Prize ceremony takes place in October 2021.

According to Town & Country, William is responsible for the introduction of the book and will be joined on the page by co-authors Colin Butfield, an advisor on the prince’s environmental campaign, and producer, Jonnie Hughes.
